What is Chamfr?
A quick overview of how Chamfr works, what suppliers manage directly, and where to go for common buying questions.
Overview
Chamfr is an online marketplace where medical product development, engineering, and manufacturing teams can source components, materials, equipment, tools, and related products directly from suppliers.
Products listed on Chamfr are sold and fulfilled by suppliers on the platform. Chamfr provides the marketplace, checkout experience, payment flow, and support structure—but we do not manufacture products, warehouse supplier inventory, or ship products from a Chamfr facility.
How buying on Chamfr works
Each product page includes the information available for that SKU—such as pricing, pack size, availability, specifications, and shipping options (when applicable).
Because Chamfr is a marketplace, many product details are provided and maintained by the supplier, including inventory availability, pack size or minimum order quantity, product specifications, and fulfillment timing.
If the listed quantity, pricing, and shipping options work for your needs, you can place the order directly through checkout. If you have product-specific questions, use Contact Seller; if you need help with checkout, payment, your account, or an existing order, contact Chamfr support.
Product quantities and pack sizes
Products on Chamfr are sold in the supplier’s listed pack size or minimum order quantity for that SKU.
Chamfr does not hold supplier inventory or break listed inventory into custom quantities. If you need a different quantity, custom configuration, or production-volume sourcing, submit an RFQ (Request for Quote).
When to use an RFQ
Use the RFQ process when you need something that isn’t available through a standard product listing, such as:
- Custom quantities (different from the listed pack size or MOQ)
- Custom configurations or non-standard product requirements
- Production-volume requests
- Requests that require supplier review before pricing or lead times can be confirmed
RFQs route custom or non-standard requests through the right supplier review process instead of treating them like standard marketplace orders.
When to contact the seller
For supplier-specific product questions, use Contact Seller on the product page. This is the best path for questions about:
- Product specifications
- Compatibility
- Materials
- Drawings or datasheets
- Supplier-specific documentation
- Whether a product is suitable for your use case
Suppliers know their products best, so contacting the seller directly helps you get the most accurate product-specific information.
How shipping works
Suppliers ship their own products directly to customers.
For domestic orders, shipping options may be available at checkout based on supplier-provided shipping details and live carrier rates.
For international orders, customers may need to provide their own FedEx or UPS account. Chamfr generally cannot accurately estimate prepaid international shipping, customs, duties, taxes, or other import-related charges.
When to contact Chamfr support
Contact Chamfr support if you need help with:
- An active order
- A checkout or payment issue
- A ResolvePay issue
- A cancellation request
- A return or refund request
- A platform or account access issue
- An RFQ process issue
- A supplier communication issue after you’ve used the correct contact path
